BT Young Scientist – Origin Green Sustainability Award

The Bord Bia Origin Green Special Award at the BT Young Scientist and Technology Exhibition was awarded to a project that shows best how to accelerate the sustainable development of the Irish agri-food industry. Megan Coolahan, Ceara Mulry and Clodagh Moxham from Athlone Community College in Co. Westmeath won for their project ‘MCPA Pesticide in Drinking Water’.

Award Criteria: The Bord Bia Origin Green Special Award will be given to a project that shows best how to accelerate the sustainable development of the Irish agri-food industry. Strong consideration will be given to a project with practical application and a potential to scale, and which demonstrates Ireland’s sustainability credentials, building our food and drink industry’s reputation abroad.
