From the Farmers Perspective

Origin Green and Bord Bia, the Irish Food Board, are working with over 100 farmers every day to assess the environmental impact of each farms production system. Building on Bord Bia’s Quality Assurance Schemes which have been in place for over 20 years, each farm is audited on an 18 month basis by independent auditors who, using smart hand-held technology, rigorously assess each farm across all areas of safety, quality and sustainability.

Origin Green is working with farmers to identify practical ways in which they can reduce their carbon footprint but also improve their efficiency and profitability.
