From their raw material sourcing practices to their manufacturing processes – being at the forefront of sustainability in the seafood processing industry is a passion of Keohane’s. As an Origin Green Verified Member, Keohane Seafoods have a proven and measured commitment to sustainability.
At Keohane’s Seafoods, increased amounts of raw materials are sourced from suppliers of sustainably sourced fish, the company have increased use of recycled cardboard and also use FSC or PEFC certified packaging material when possible.
Thus far, Keohane’s Seafoods’ sustainability journey has seen them achieve MSC chain of custody for Cod and Hake, ASC chain of custody for Pangasius and Global GAP and IOFGA Organic License for Organic Salmon and Organic Prawns. They are also members of the BIM Responsibly Sourced scheme.
Through an understanding of the economic, environmental & social components of sustainability, Keohane’s Seafoods aim to improve their operations, provide superior products to their customers while building towards a safer, greener future.
Raw Material Sourcing

- Keohane’s seafoods have reformulated some of their ingredients to make them healthier, such as the removal of palm oil from some marinades, only using oil that is RSPO certified, as well as introducing a reduced salt marinade.
