Established in 1994, Irish Yogurts is privately-owned by Diarmuid O' Sullivan and Mary Daly. Based in Clonakilty, County Cork it employs over 160 people in a state-of-the-art production facility which opened in 2016.
This new facility provides a highly flexible manufacturing process to suit all yogurt categories, volumes and customers. Irish Yogurts produces its range using churn-style technology, which is unique to the company. This technology allows the product to be thick and creamy without the addition of stabilisers or gelatins.
Ensure all palm oil used in their products comes from sustainable sources and is Roundtable on Sustainable Palm Oil (RSPO) certified. Have a target in place to source 90% of their milk from Bord Bia approved suppliers.
Committed to reducing waste on-site by 30% by 2018. Irish Yogurts have teamed up with Food Bank where they donate excess produce that’s still within its shelf-life.
Plans are in place to plant trees and shrubs on the perimeter of the new production site. This will act as a habitat for pollinators and increase biodiversity in the area.
