The business was established in 2007 after the owner had previously operated a business for over 21 years selling Irish strawberries direct to customers. Together with a dedicated team, Greenhill Fruit Farm produce consistent top quality fresh fruit using both traditional and modern methods. Today, the company's fruit is available through roadside sales units, wholesale, and retail outlets nationwide.

Acknowledging that a successful business in today's world requires a sustainable focus and drive, the company works diligently to ensure quality and sustainability work in tandem across everything it does. At Greenhill Fruit Farm, ambitious targets are in place to reduce overall kWh/tonne per annum by 15% by 2024.In the year 2021, Greenhill Fruit Farm continued to drive improvement in this key area, and achieved exemplary performance with a cumulative reduction of almost 2% kWh/kg. Going forward, Greenhill Fruit Farm's ambition is to continue to reduce overall energy consumption to reach the projected 15% milestone by 2024. To reach this milestone, the company have two electric vehicles on site and plan to install solar PV panels in 2023, which will further reduce its environmental impact.
