From modest beginnings almost a hundred years ago, family owned Divilly’s Meats has gone from a small & local operation to one that covers the entirety of Ireland whilst maintaining core family values.
Divilly’s employ thirty full time staff including staff from Employability Galway, a Supported Employment service for people who have a disability or health issue and live in the community. They offer an extensive product portfolio including pork sausages, traditional/maple cure rashers, and traditional/deli style ham amongst other product offerings.
Divilly’s also collaborate with Food Cloud and have pledged to pass surplus food products to the organization; in 2017 the equivalent of 1,320 meals was donated to people in need.
Targets are in place to source raw materials from suppliers that have recognised Food Safety/Quality and Sustainability programs in place, 50% by the end of December 2019 and 80% by the end of December 2022.
Divilly’s aim to reduce their energy consumption by 10%, water consumption by 5% and waste produced by 5% by the end of December 2022.
