Lidl entered the Irish retail space in 2000, now as market leaders with over 150 stores and 4,200 staff across the country, we are committed to being a responsible retailer. Lidl joined Bord Bia’s Origin Green Sustainable Development programme in 2017 to achieve 3rd party verification of our process and demonstrate credible progress towards their targets.
Lidl’s programme ‘A Better Tomorrow’ involved the development of a comprehensive sustainability strategy with 24 clear targets and KPIs, across four core pillars: Responsible sourcing, Protecting the Environment, Team Lidl and Lidl Community Works.
