As a family owned business with over 30 years of experience in the seafood industry, the company works tirelessly to harvest its premium shellfish from the company's own organically certified farms which are processed in a 40,000 sq. ft state-of-the-art facility.

The company is dedicated to sustainability and prioritises safeguarding the health and wellness of everyone involved within its supply chain - including consumers, the environment, and its employees.

Throughout 2021, Bantry Bay Premium Seafoods displayed a robust performance, excelling in particular in the areas of Energy and Product Health & Nutrition. Wtihin the Energy target area, the company reduced electricity consumption on a per unit basis by 10.5% over 2020 levels. Striving to maintain this strong performance throughout the remainder of its existing Origin Green plan, the company also undertook an energy evaluation in 2022 as part of Bord Iascaigh Mhara's (BIM) Green Seafood Business Programme in conjunction with Cork's Clean Technology Centre to idenfiy further areas of improvement into the future
