Founded by Quincey Fennelly and Simon Lynch, the company started brewing in August 2014 and sold its first beer one month later to The Harbour Bar in Bray. Having produced 16 varieties of beer, the business now supplies to 150 pubs and 550 off-licenses throughout Ireland.
Handcrafted at 1500 litres at a time Wicklow Wolf beers use the finest grains, hops and yeast varieties from Ireland and Europe. Full of character and flavour Wicklow Wolf is continually experimenting with brewing styles from the far corners of the globe.
Committed to ensuring that up to 10% of Limited’s and Seasonal releases each year are a considered social health option; either a lower alcohol or Gluten Free alternative.
All of their spent grain is given back to their farm for composting and all their trub is donated to local charities for planting and fertilising.
Wicklow Wolf have their own hop farm with 2 acres of viable hop farming land sown in Roundwood in Wicklow. These hops are harvested and used in a special all Irish brew each year. The hop farm is also home to 5 working bee hives.
