About the company

Valeo Foods Group is one of Europe’s fastest growing consumer foods producers, with a portfolio of category-leading brands, many of them iconic household names. Valeo Foods produces and sells over six hundred million units a year from its state-of-the-art manufacturing facilities across Ireland, the UK and Continental Europe.

Valeo's story began in 2010 with the merging of Origin Foods and Batchelors. Since then, the group has evolved under many forms but with a consistent strategy to acquire, integrate, innovate and grow.

Over the last seven years, the Valeo Foods Group has acquired and grown to become a local and international leader in snacking and sweet treats, health and wellness, baking and meal ingredients, beverages and food service.

Key Sustainability Commitments

Focus on Health and Nutrition

Valeo Foods have a number of key branded products that are core stables in most people shopping basket. A key strategy decision that the business has taken is to reduce or replace the level of sugar in these products, peas, beans, sauce ketchup and jams by 2022.

Strong Commitment to Social Sustainability

The Jack & Jill Foundation are a charity partner of Valeo Foods - they are actively involved in providing product and brand support for fundraising events. They have recently launched a campaign in partnership with Odlums, the foundation features on our packs, across our online channels and we were able to secure a slot with partners TV3 to amplify the charity and the great work it does. We are actively involved in their Crumlin children’s events through our brand and products and are exploring opportunities to do more as we progress our partnership.

Committed to Responsible Sourcing

Valeo Foods have set a target of 100% of all products, which contain palm oil, containing sustainable palm oil meeting the desired target by end of 2021.
